District Vision gives New Balance’s all-black and all-gray supershoes a sleeker look.
District Vision, an avid supplier of sports eyewear and running gear, is releasing New Balance’s most elite race day footwear for their latest collaboration.
The District Vision x New Balance FuelCell Supercomp Elite v4 comes in all black and all gray as part of a larger, running-centric capsule. It’s not just the stealthy colorway that makes the shoe slick, though, as the “N” logo has been shrunken and given a handwritten look to match District Vision’s scripted aesthetic. The scribbled look continues with the name of the supershoe printed on the white insole, while the District Vision branding appears near the outer heel above the midsole.
New Balance unveiled the fourth iteration of its FuelCell Supercomp Elite line earlier this year, and this marathon runner boasts a new formulation of PEBA-based FuelCell foam midsole with strategically placed voids for energy storage and return. Its upper has been completely redone in lightweight bonded FantomFit material. And, of course, there’s the carbon fiber plate, an essential element of the supershoe, in the form of New Balance’s Energy Arc.
The accompanying apparel line continues the monochromatic look, but in primary colors or white, but mainly blue. The collection includes translucent anoraks, shorts, tank tops, rugby sweaters, tights and more for both men and women.
The District Vision x New Balance FuelCell Supercomp Elite v4 will release on May 23rd via both companies’ websites. Pricing for the shoe is set at $265, while the rest of the collection ranges from $65 to $100.
